Facts: Gazprom tests an unmanned cargo helicopter

Russian energy company Gazprom used an unmanned aerial vehicle, the pilotless helicopter KAGU-150 created by Tyber company, to deliver materials and equipment to the field in Arctic region of Russia. This UAV successfully completed a 130-kilometre route, delivering 150-kilogramme load to the field. A second round of testing is planned in December 2020, to test it under Artic winter conditions. Gazprom’s goal is to use UAV for refueling its production centers. As explains Gazprom’s press statement, "Using UAVs opens up major opportunities for oil workers in delivering essential resources to fields safely, and fast".
